Happy Monday....night by now. It's been a long day. Full of phone calls and trying to get my booty in gear. Good news and bad news from the phone calls. Good news, no surgery Friday!! Bad news, I have to deal with the pain for a while longer. I can deal with that. I was so not looking forward to that anyway. AT ALL!
Anywho, here is your Monday Motivation! Enjoy and BE MOTIVATED! Happy Active Nation Day! What did all of you do to stay active today? I myself walked the massive hills in my neighborhood and did some Tabata. I felt great today after I finally put my shoes on and headed out of the door. I ran more than I have been and was so proud of myself by the time I made it back home. That doesn't happen often! :) I got my new watch finally. I ordered a Mio Motiva...I got it new off e-bay for $12.99, obviously I was the only bidder seeings that this watch sells for much much more than that in stores. Anyway, I love it. It has so many features and now I can see by my heart rate exactly how many calories I am burning instead of a smartphone app guessing. I would still love to have a Polar, but this will definitely do until I can afford one. I am trying so hard to lose as much weight by this Friday that I possibly can before I have to go in for surgery. I am scared to death and have talked myself out of this surgery multiple times. As of right now it is still on. So prayers would be appreciated. ` I truly hope you all have a blessed day and don't forget to get active! Love and hugs. God bless. Just when I start getting back into running, walking and exercising I run into a problem. Go figure. I will be having surgery next Friday, October 3 with a 6 week recovery time!!! What am I supposed to do? I can not exercise at all through this time and although I still plan on eating well and clean I know I will not be dropping the weight. I was doing so well. After killing it this coming week I will have to wait until November 13 to start again. Until then, I will still be blogging and following and posting on Instagram and Twitter to keep my motivation up. But guys seriously, prayers would be awesome. I am freaking out. I have never been put to sleep and it is my ultimate fear. Thanks and God Bless each and every one of you!
Good morning everyone! What a great day this has started out as! My baby boy got me up at 6:30 this morning, so we got up snuggled a bit while I had my coffee and waited for sissy to get up. Then! We hit the road! We only ended up doing a little over two miles but the hills in my neighborhood along with stroller and babies were enough to thoroughly wear my tail out! When we got home I then did 3 sets of Tabata. I. FEEL. FABULOUS!
I am so looking forward to getting a heart rate monitor watch so that I can track my fitness level and calories burned. Don't forget to download the Lorna Jane Fitness App and join us Sunday September 28 for Active Nation Day! Click the button below to learn more! Good afternoon you beautiful people. I got a late start today. A late lazy start to be exact. I didn't plan on doing anything today but take some Ibuprofen and lounge around in my sweats. That lasted until about 9:00am when I realized that I had to run to my doctor for a quick shot and when I got back home I figured since I was already dressed I would look at instagram for a few to get a wee bit motivated. It worked! I got in a little Tabata. And even though it was only 3 sets of 4 minutes, it kicked my bohunkus! I am even planning on a walk after dinner with the kiddos if I am not in awful pain.
Side note: I have severe endometriosis which makes for a painful 2 weeks out of a month, if you get my drift. Don't Forget Sunday September 28 is Active Nation Day!! Join in! Also, download the Lorna Jane fitness app in Google Play or the App Store! Enjoy the rest of your day, lovelies! Hello hello! What a beautiful day it is today! First day of Fall and I am SO excited! One more thing! don't forget about Lorna Jane Active Nation Day on September 28! Click the button below to learn more! Also, don't forget to download Lorna Jane's new fitness app! Happy Monday! I have decided that Mondays will be "Motivation Monday" because, let's face it, we all need a little help on Mondays. I woke up this morning feeling rather sluggish and knew I needed to get in gear. So after a cup, or 3, of coffee I got moving! I know that it may not seem like much to those awesome people that have been living this lifestyle for a while but I did an awesome 20 minute (warm up and cool down not included) Tabata workout this morning and I am feeling it! I love Tabata, absolutely love it. Never have I done a workout and still felt it 4 days later and had results like I do. I know a lot of people who do not do it because they don't want to keep up with the time. Tabata is 4 minutes long. Go super hard for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds for 4 minutes total. Doesn't matter what you do, just go hard! I do anywhere from 3-5 sets of 4 minutes back to back. No breaks other than the 10 seconds in between. You can click on the video below for a great Tabata song that I love because it tells you when to start and stop. You can also search "Tabata Songs" in Spotify and get the same coached music. I use this on my Galaxy pad, download 4-5 and just let them play through so I don't have to stop and replay. Have fun with it! I am SURE you will enjoy it! On with the motivation! Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Rachael and I have recently started on my fitness journey! I am excited for this change! I am going to do my best to keep up to date with this blog in hopes of reaching others who share my passion of getting fit and healthy.
